Terms and conditions

A plain-English summary of how our website builds, rebuilds and care plans work.

This page summarises how working with KiwiBoost ("we", "us") works. The full terms for your package come with your quote or order form. If anything there differs from this page, your quote or order form applies.

What we provide

  • New websites, rebuilds, care plans and add-ons, as described on our pricing page and your quote.
  • A page is up to 8 sections or about 1,000 words. Longer pages count as two. Blog posts don't count as pages.
  • Rebuilds cover up to 5 or up to 20 pages, depending on the option you choose, plus up to 50 blog posts. Bigger sites, online stores and member logins are quoted separately.
  • Email hosting is not included. We can point you to a provider.

Building your site

  • Timeframes. New sites of up to 5 pages go live within 5 working days, and up to 10 pages within 10 working days, once we have all your content. Rebuilds go live within 10 working days of us getting access to your current site. Time spent waiting for your content or approvals is added to these.
  • Two rounds of changes before launch are included, and you approve your site before it goes live.

Your content

  • You're responsible for the text, images, logos and other material you give us, and you confirm you have the right to use it.
  • If we write words for you, please check them before launch. You're responsible for making sure what your site says about your business, prices and qualifications is accurate.

Care plans and add-ons

  • 12-month plans, renewing yearly. Care plans and Get found by AI run for 12 months and then renew for another 12 months.
  • Renewal reminder. We'll remind you at least 60 days before each renewal. If you don't want to renew, tell us at least 30 days before the renewal date. There's no exit fee for leaving at renewal.
  • Your price is fixed for each 12-month term. If our prices change, the new price applies from your next renewal, and we'll tell you at least 60 days ahead.
  • Unlimited small changes. A small change is anything that takes us about 30 minutes or less, such as updating text, prices, hours, photos, staff, services, reviews or documents, publishing a blog post you send us, or a small layout tweak. We work on one request at a time and start the next as soon as you approve the last one.
  • Response times. Small changes are done within 2 working days on Care, and within 1 working day on Care Plus and Care Boost. Working days are New Zealand business days, not counting public holidays.
  • Page jobs, such as a new page, a redesigned page or a new feature like a booking button, map, video or form, are $190 each. Care Plus and Care Boost include one a month.
  • You see every change first. We send you a preview link, and nothing goes live until you approve it.
  • AI basics are part of every care plan: AI-readable business details and answer-first FAQs, kept current. Get found by AI adds consistent business details across Google, Bing and directories, and a monthly check of what AI assistants say about you. No one can guarantee what an AI assistant or search engine will say or rank. We make sure they have the right information about you.

Payment

  • All prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST, which is added where it applies.
  • Build and rebuild fees are payable as set out in your quote.
  • Monthly fees are charged to your card or by direct debit, monthly in advance.

Leaving

  • At renewal: give us at least 30 days' notice before your renewal date.
  • Partway through a term: you pay the rest of that term. In your first 12 months that's all the remaining months, because the first year covers your build. In later terms it's capped at 3 months.
  • Your domain always stays registered in your name. If you choose our domain service ($80 a year), we handle renewals and settings for you.
  • Taking your website with you. We hand the whole website over, ready to host anywhere, for a $490 handover fee.
  • If you leave without a handover, we take your website offline at the end of your plan and delete it 30 days later.

Ownership

  • Your content stays yours.
  • Your website is built from our own templates and components. After a handover you can keep using them for your website for as long as you like, but you can't resell them or use them for other websites.
  • We may show your website in our portfolio. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to build and update websites quickly. Nothing goes live on your site until you've seen a preview and approved it.

Hosting and availability

We host your website on Cloudflare's global network, with backups, monitoring and regular updates. We work to keep your site online and secure, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable, including when a problem is caused by a third-party service outside our control.

Changes to these terms

We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any change. For a plan you're already on, changes apply from your next renewal.

New Zealand law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
